Celebrating Evolving Identity
A Second Life
Turning heritage textiles into upcyled, sustainable, one-of-a-kind fashion.
A discarded sari, once cherished in a closet, is handed to us to empower a woman. From the donation of the sari to the upskilling of women in townships, and finally to the conscious consumer, this process embodies a circular economy - transforming a once-loved garment into a unique piece, preventing it from ending in a landfill. We invite customers to see how a heritage sari can be worn across cultures. Each sari becomes a one-of-a-kind garment, as exclusive as the wearer.
The Frill Kimono
The Frill Kimono
The Frill Kimono
Our frill kimonos are lovingly upcycled from Banarasi saris, intricately woven with fine gilded threads, silver embroidery, and luxurious silk organza.
The cascading frills add a sense of movement, flowing gracefully with every step you take. As you walk, the delicate fabric bellows behind you, creating an almost ethereal effect—a poetic dance of elegance and grace.
Wearing a frill kimono is more than a fashion choice—it's a bold statement of identity. It evokes a sense of being cherished, empowered, and deeply connected to one's roots. Our campaign, "A Call to Your Roots,"* encourages women to stand tall and proud, embrace their authentic selves with grace, and explore the beauty of their evolving identities.
As founders of diverse heritage—Indian, Arab, Kenyan, and South African—we are constant witnesses to a fusion of cultures. The frill kimono embodies this harmonious blend, inviting women to twirl in oneness, much like the graceful Sufi whirl, as they honor their unique heritage and the interconnectedness of all cultures.
